These guides explain, in plain language, the procedures my clients go through most often: what to do after a refusal, how a Refugee Appeal Division (RAD) appeal works, what options remain when a removal order arrives, how legal aid works, and how to prepare a consultation. They are meant to be read on a phone, under stress, in your second language.

Two things they are not. They are not legal advice — every file turns on its own facts and dates, and every deadline mentioned is marked (to be verified) because rules change. And they are not a substitute for a consultation; they are what makes a consultation shorter and more useful, because you arrive knowing the shape of the road.
